Shopping on Cambridge.org

Cambridge.org places thousands of Cambridge products at your fingertips. Simply browse our website for the products you want, and add them to your Bag. Once you are happy with your Bag, you can proceed to checkout, at which point you will be asked to sign in. If you do not already have a Cambridge Account, don't worry, you can create one in a few easy steps.

Once you have signed in, you will be asked to confirm your order and proceed to checkout. You will then be asked to confirm your delivery address, and at this stage the delivery costs for your order will be confirmed. You will then be asked to add your billing details and a phone number in order to proceed to secure payment via our payment partner Cybersource. Your credit or debit card payment is then authorized and your order is confirmed.

A confirmation email will be sent to you with the details of your order. You will receive a further email and your invoice when your order is dispatched - this is your proof of purchase.

Pre-order and temporarily unavailable items

It is possible to purchase both pre-order items (titles which have not yet been published) and temporarily unavailable items (published titles which are temporarily out of stock) on Cambridge.org. Simply add the pre-order or temporarily unavailable item to you Bag and proceed through checkout and payment.

Adding a pre-order or temporarily unavailable item to your Bag will not delay the dispatch of any items that are in stock also contained in your Bag.

You will only be charged for pre-order or temporarily unavailable items once they have been dispatched to you.

Secure payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit and debit cards. When you enter your private card details, it is received directly by our secure payment gateway, and is never held or seen by us. Our checkout process complies to the strict security measures required by Barclays Bank Merchant Services UK.

As part of the payment process, our payment gateway handles a query to the bank that issued your card. For accepted transactions, an authorisation for the amount is placed on your account. While we process your order, this may show as a pending transaction on your card statement. When your order is dispatched, your card will be charged. If your order is fulfilled in multiple deliveries, then you will be charged in multiple, smaller amounts, but still only up to the overall authorized amount.

Discounts and promo codes

You can enter a discount or promo code at the checkout stage. Simply enter your code into the promo code field and hit "apply". If the promo code is valid, it will be applied to your order. Only one promo code can be added to each order. Where more than one promo code has been added, the code resulting in the biggest saving will be applied.

If a time limited promo code has expired then it can no longer be used.

Conference discounts

If you have been to a conference which at which Cambridge University Press offered a conference discount, you can claim that same discount online. A 'Title on display' discount will have been issued at the conference, carrying a unique number which can also be used in the promo code field online and will apply the same discount as would have been received at the conference.

Please note that all conference discounts remain valid for 30 days after the last day of the conference.
