Cambridge University Press search for more YouTube stars
With the importance of online learning growing fast, Cambridge University Press is on the lookout for new presenters to join the team behind popular YouTube channel Learn English with Cambridge.
Since the channel launched last year, it’s amassed over 51,600 followers and 1.6 million views of its creative English language learning content. Driven by what students of English want to learn about, the team have published almost 100 videos so far. The fun and informative guidance is presented by English language teachers around the world as well as special guests, such as YouTube sensation Korean Billy.
To support people through the learning journey, moving forward the channel will also include content from Cambridge Assessment English, who create and deliver the world’s leading range of qualifications and tests for learners of English.
Kirsty Barker, Marketing Communications Director, said: If you’ve got experience making simple topics sizzle as an English language teacher or preparing students for Cambridge Exams or IELTS – we want to hear from you! Over the past few months, teachers around the world have had to get more creative with how they teach online. It’s been amazing to see the ways in which teachers, learners and families have responded to lockdowns and school closures. As our future unfolds, it’s a really exciting time to be expanding our social team.’
To enter, simply send in a short video by 21 September 2020. A panel of experts will review all the submissions and select their top presenters, who will be offered a one year contract to create videos for the Learn English with Cambridge YouTube channel.
